Visit the Farm
Children of all ages love being on our farm. Our children’s programs provide children with an opportunity to:
- Have fun in a safe and supportive environment
- Participate in a working farm
- Learn about the natural environment
- Feel a connection to the earth and a desire to care for it
We welcome clubs (4-H, Scouts, etc), organizations (PRIDE, Neighborhood Center for the Arts, etc.) and schools of all kinds. These agricultural outings are meant to inspire creativity and expand a child's understanding of rural lifestyle and farming.
At the farm you will be able to feed the animals, collect eggs, and much more. These loosely structured outings may include a short tour, helping with the chores (such as milking a cow or goat), planting or harvesting, working with the miniature horses, learning more about the farm animals, and free play.
Outings are by reservation only and length of time varies by each organization’s needs. For more information or to make a reservation, please call 530-477-1155 and asked for Liz Hengesbach.
